The Honeywell XNX™ Universal Transmitters with the Multi-Purpose Detector (MPD) Sensor instrument is an Stainless steel version with CU-TR standard performance approval and plug-in catalytic and infrared sensor cartridges.
The catalytic sensors measure flammable gases in the range 0-100%LEL and the infrared sensors measure Hydrocarbons in the range 0-100%LEL, or Methane 0-100%LEL (or 0-5%Vol) and CO2 0-5%Vol.
Product Overview
Honeywell XNX™ Universal Transmitter Gas Detectors are a simple-to-use, low-maintenance universal platform that works with other safety equipment on a digital bus system. The XNX is compatible with all of the Honeywell Analytics range of industrial fixed gas sensors including Searchline Excel, Searchpoint Optima Plus, Sensepoint (HT and PPM) and Model 705.
The Multi-Purpose Detector (MPD) is a serviceable stainless steel sensor housing with plug-in catalytic and infrared sensor cartridges. With 200+ unique configurations, XNX satisfies Class 1/Class 2 intrinsically safe, explosion-proof requirements in upstream/downstream oil, chemical, wastewater and other industries.
The XNX Transmitter has worldwide hazardous area and performance approvals and is housed in a flameproof marine-grade aluminium alloy enclosure. It uses standard 4-20mA wiring and HART; options include Modbus, Fieldbus (pending) up to three relays and a local Hart Adapter for configuration and diagnostics using existing HART handheld devices.
The Honeywell XNX have five threaded ports, available in metric or NPT versions, and ruggedized mounting options. Instrumentation built on various sensing technologies can be attached locally to the transmitter or remotely via accessories.
